Casting herself into London’s struggling art scene in the early 1990 ́s, British artist Tracey Emin was a radical and an inspiration for countless. We imagine her in her studio getting her hands dirty but at night the party frock comes on. London’s simultaneous roughness and sophistication inspires The Local Firm’s fall 2012 collection. The concept “reinterpreted grunge” stands for off-hand layering and clashes within a crossover wardrobe, while keeping the ambience of The Local Firm ́s grey-black industrial feel. The short, sleek dress teams up with the bomber jacket as does the metallic blouse with a pair of jeans. The fabrics are in focus, leaving the pieces simple in form.
