The Danish design brand held its first ever Scandinavian fashion show during Oslo Fashion Week. The debut show was a great experience located on the 12th floor of the headquarters of the Norwegian Arbeiderparti, with a spectacular view over Oslo. With the show Samsøe & Samsøe lead the guests through an autumn filled with bohemian, voluminous silhouettes and strong colours.
Samsøe & Samsøe put on its first show on the Norwegian catwalk during Oslo Fashion Week. “We see the entire Scandinavia as our home market and as we plan to be even more visible in Scandinavia this decision has been an obvious choice for us” says Josef Lützen, sales director at Samsøe & Samsøe before he concludes: “We have grown significantly in Norway the last seasons, so we are very happy to be able to support Oslo Fashion Week.”
The Inspiration behind the collection was found in the transition between summer and winter, between light and dark, and between happy days and time for reflection. With the Autumn / Winter 2012 collection, Samsøe & Samsøe has taken a step further up the ladder of fashion and the brand presented an autumn filled with inspiring garments. The female collection consisted of classic, feminine and cool styles in voluminous silhouettes - all with focus on understated details. The dim autumn light inspired the palette, and the dense colours of the collection were mixed with strong and powerful colours like orange, red and purple.
For the male collection freedom and youthfulness were keywords. Functional materials such as treated cotton and pilot nylon, mixed with heavier materials such as corduroy and denim created a perfect contrast. The colours ranged from white and khaki, combined with shades of burned red and yellow, created a contrast to the blue and green tones.
Samsøe & Samsøe took the guests all the way into the autumn; all there is left to do is to wait for autumn to return yet again and the collection to hit stores.

LAGOM
